Job summary

SpartanNash Severn, MD is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day distribution center activities including shipping, receiving, and storage. You will assign work to associates, ensure timely, accurate, and safe operations, and drive customer service excellence.

The role requires 3+ years in warehouse distribution and a year of supervisory experience, plus strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Three years Warehouse distribution experience preferred.
• One year Supervisory or lead experience required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and have good follow through to meet deadlines.
• Must have good leadership and training skills; ability to work with all levels of management and line associates.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day warehouse department activities within assigned area(s) such as shipping, receiving, selection, loading, storage, etc.
• Work with cross-functional departments as it relates to distribution center operations and ensure prompt resolution of any issues.
• Schedule and assign work to warehouse associates to complete workload efficiently while maintaining productivity, accuracy, customer service and safety.
• Maintain warehouse related reporting on related KPI's.
• Ensure health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and report issues.
• Lead training of team on changes in processes and procedures.
• Coordinate pre-shift meetings and communicate updates to associates.
• Manage staffing, training, performance, and career development of associates.
