Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Bellefontaine, OH to lead daily distribution center activities including shipping, receiving, and order selection. You will manage staffing, training, scheduling, and safety while driving efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, set goals, monitor KPIs, and mentor associates to deliver high-quality service. This role requires 3+ years warehouse experience and 1 year supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED (as stated)
• Three years Warehouse distribution experience preferred
• One year Supervisory or lead experience required
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good organization, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Must be able to multi-task and have good follow through to meet deadlines
• Leadership and training skills; ability to work with all levels of management and line associates
• Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day warehouse department activities within assigned area(s) such as shipping, receiving, selection, loading, storage, etc.
• Work with cross-functional departments related to distribution center operations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Schedule and assign work to warehouse associates to complete workload in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety.
• Maintain warehouse reporting on KPIs; ensure health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
• Coordinate day-to-day scheduling of associates based on resources and volume.
• Ensure team lead is properly training associates and assist with training in new processes.
• Coordinate and lead pre-shift meetings and communicate updates on procedures and HR programs.
• Manage staffing, training, performance, and development of associates; monitor department goals.
• Assist with labor agreement administration as needed.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
• Ensure compliance with distribution procedures and governmental regulations (safety, sanitation); promote safety and security awareness; oversee cleanliness of the work environment; report issues with equipment and participate in investigations as required.
• Oversee proper maintenance of equipment and report issues; address work-related injuries and participate in investigations as required.
