Job summary

Misfits Market is seeking a Certified Trainer to support onboarding, train new hires, and evaluate initial trainee performance. The role involves peer coaching and facilitating training within the home department, with a focus on clear communication and consistency.

You will report to your department manager, lead on-the-floor training, and help ensure training materials stay up to date. A patient, organized, proactive communicator is a strong fit for this fast-paced, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Experience training peers or groups.
• Experience facilitating training or presentations to groups of 5+ people.
• Must be self-motivated, highly detail-oriented and organized.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High influencing ability.
• Willing to work overtime and possible weekends.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous/fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Reports to department manager and assists with training in home department.
• Conducts on-the-floor and cross-training for hourly associates using approved materials.
• Evaluates performance and provides recommendations based on training materials.
• Ensures training documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Acts as a friendly point of contact to support new hires.
• Collaborates on updating training materials as needed.
• Maintains high availability for daily training needs.
