Job summary

Rooms To Go is seeking a Department Supervisor 1 in Dunn, North Carolina. This hourly role directs and trains associates, monitors safety and department standards, and supports daily distribution operations.

You will plan tasks, mentor staff, lead pre-shift meetings, and resolve routine issues in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential for success and safe equipment operation.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in distribution center or manufacturing with prior leadership preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong professional relationships with coworkers.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs associates for task completion.
• Trains new associates on job tasks and job knowledge in the department.
• Assists associates in completing their job tasks.
• Leads pre-shift meetings under the direction of management.
• Organizes department safety stretches routine.
• Completes the same tasks as associates in their department.
• Identifies and solves basic issues and problems.
• Operates powered equipment as needed.
• Adheres to safety standards and practices.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
