Job summary

Rooms To Go is seeking a Department Supervisor 1 in Dallas to lead and train associates, ensuring safety and department standards. The role is hourly and focuses on directing tasks, coaching staff, and maintaining production standards.

You will plan daily work, train newcomers, supervise shifts, and enforce safety policies while supporting a fast-paced distribution environment. Excellent communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in distribution center or manufacturing facility with prior leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong professional relationships with coworkers.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop and mentor others.
• Ability to give direction.
• Ability to resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs associates for task completion.
• Trains new associates on job tasks and job knowledge in the department.
• Assists associates in completing their job tasks.
• Leads pre-shift meetings under the direction of management.
• Organizes department safety stretch routine.
• Completes the same tasks as associates in their department.
• Identifies and solves basic issues and problems.
• Operates powered equipment as needed.
• Adheres to safety standards and practices.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
