Job summary

Amazon's Oklahoma City metro site is seeking a Lead Associate to drive daily operations and frontline leadership in a fast-paced retail warehouse environment. You will supervise, train, and motivate the team, ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery promises, and collaborate with delivery partners to delight customers.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to prioritize, eager to learn, and ready to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• High school or equivalent.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
• 2+ years of production, warehouse or other leadership experience, or 1+ years Amazon experience.
• Experience managing inventory in a retail or distribution setting.
• Prior experience in training others.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Peer-to-peer feedback experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated problem solving and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Support, motivate, and model desired behavior for the rest of the team.
• Manage operational processes, safety, quality, performance, and customer delivery promises following the Regional Area Manager guidance.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized workspace.
• Provide ongoing training in areas including system and equipment knowledge, quality training, and general operations.
• Provide feedback on processes and standards, serving as the escalation point to assist associates and peers in solving issues.
• Maintain a key to the site and open/close following proper procedures.
• Handle products including produce, meat, seafood, and alcoholic beverages.
• Receive truck deliveries.
• Collaborate with associates and delivery partners to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Participate in associate onboarding as required.
• Ensure consistent execution of product workflow processes and guide associates.
• Perform front-line duties when needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of customer experience and operations.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and count product.
