Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Full-time VAS Warehouse Team Lead in Etna, OH to supervise daily warehouse activities and drive efficiency. The role requires leadership, safety focus, and hands-on work with RF scanning and common warehouse tools.

The position offers weekly pay, on-the-job training, and benefits starting around 30 days. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in lead roles, forklift certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year experience as Team Lead preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Word) preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner knowledge/experience required.
• Forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Flexible to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive with responsibility and organizational skills.
• Maintains composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement for operational efficiency.
• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily duties to ensure shift logistics.
• Inspire team members to improve KPI performance using leadership methods.
• Orient new employees and provide tools to perform jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, B/Ls).
• Complete daily reports and propose actions to improve operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $18/hour

• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred

• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.

• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.

• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.

• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.

• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.

• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).

• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
