Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead in Etna, Ohio to supervise daily warehouse operations in a safe, efficient manner. The role offers weekly pay, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a company 401(k) match.

You will lead a team handling CPG products with RF scanners and WMS software. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of warehouse and lead experience, plus forklift certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year as Team Lead preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner knowledge/experience required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills and flexibility for a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently or in a team while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for efficient operations.
• Perform warehouse tasks: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Inspire team members toward KPI improvements using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees for their roles.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle daily paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete daily reports and propose actions to improve service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Schedule: First Shift Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
