Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a full-time VAS Warehouse Associate in Etna, Ohio. The role offers weekly pay and a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with state-of-the-art equipment in a safety-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has forklift experience, RF scanner proficiency, and warehouse experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and employee discounts. EEO/AA/Female/Minority/Veteran status is observed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• One year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner is required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles.
• Assist with orientation for employees and provide necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Handle daily paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to improve operations and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
