Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Etna, Ohio is seeking a Full-time VAS Warehouse Team Lead to guide daily warehouse operations on a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 am–4:30 pm) with weekly pay. The role involves leadership, RF scanner usage, and maintaining a safe, efficient environment with state-of-the-art equipment.

The position requires 1+ year of forklift and warehouse experience, Microsoft Office proficiency, and strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• - One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• - One year or more experience as Team Lead preferred.
• - Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• - Prior warehouse experience preferred.
• - RF scanner experience required.
• - Valid forklift operator’s license.
• - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• - Demonstrates effective leadership and teamwork.
• - Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• - Independent work and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for warehouse efficiency.
• - Perform warehouse tasks including loading, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
• - Allocate resources and assign daily work to meet shift goals.
• - Inspire the team to improve KPI performance using leadership styles.
• - Orient and equip employees with information, technology, and tools.
• - Promote health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• - Manage daily paperwork (picking sheets, returns, BOLs).
• - Complete daily reports and propose actions to improve operations and service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
