Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Full-time VAS Warehouse Team Lead in Etna, Ohio to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires leadership, forklift experience, RF scanner proficiency and strong communication skills; on-site schedule is Monday–Friday with full benefits and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Prior team lead experience preferred.
• Experience with RF scanners is preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement for efficient operations.
• Perform warehouse tasks including loading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work to optimize shift operations.
• Inspire team members to improve KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees for task performance.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete daily reports and propose actions to enhance operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $18/hour
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
