Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will oversee daily warehouse functions, supervise staff, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency. This role emphasizes leadership, communication, and hands-on operations to sustain smooth fulfillment.

Responsibilities include coordinating tasks, mentoring team members, and maintaining accurate records while upholding health and safety standards in a dynamic facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year experience as Team Lead preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement efforts for warehouse efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Allocate tasks and organize daily work to optimize shift operations.
• Inspire team members and drive KPI improvement.
• Provide orientation and tools for employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle daily paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Submit daily reports and propose actions to improve operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred

• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred

• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred

• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred

• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required

• Valid forklift operator's license certified

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Effective leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
