Qualifications

  • Associate degree in supply chain or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing.
  • Experience leading shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with ERP or WMS; SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement knowledge a plus.
  • Familiarity with transportation and logistics operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material movement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of about 20 warehouse employees.
  • Plan workloads, assign tasks, and adjust staffing to meet production and customer deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipments.
  • Monitor inventory through cycle counts and audits; resolve discrepancies.
  • Optimize layout and material flow for efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs promoting safety and excellence.
  • Track KPIs for inventory accuracy, shipping, productivity, and performance.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and customer service to ensure material availability.

An established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced production environment. This hands-on leadership role oversees shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, and warehouse personnel while ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate movement of materials throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate is an organized, people-focused leader with a strong background in warehouse operations and inventory management. This position offers the opportunity to improve processes, develop employees, and contribute to the success of a growing manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily activities of warehouse personnel, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material movement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 warehouse employees while fostering a positive and accountable work environment.
  • Plan daily workloads, assign responsibilities, and adjust staffing to meet production and customer delivery requirements.
  • Ensure accurate receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipment of materials and finished goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels through cycle counts and inventory audits while investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Optimize warehouse organization, storage locations, and material flow to maximize efficiency and improve productivity.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that promote consistency, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Track key performance indicators related to inventory accuracy, shipping performance, productivity, and overall warehouse efficiency.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, customer service, and other departments to ensure timely material availability and on-time shipments.
  • Ensure shipments are prepared according to customer specifications, transportation requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Assist with inventory planning and coordinate replenishment activities as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes through Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records using ERP and warehouse management systems.
  • Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and housekeeping standards.
  • Participate in employee hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support additional warehouse and operational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material flow.
  • Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience preparing shipments for large retail or distribution customers, including pallet configuration, load planning, and shipping compliance requirements, is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise a team of approximately 20 warehouse associates.
  • Conduct interviews, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide ongoing employee development and performance feedback.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture focused on safety and continuous improvement.

This position is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and requires regular movement throughout the facility. Candidates should be comfortable working in an industrial setting, occasionally lifting materials, and following all established safety procedures.
