Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading warehouse staff to meet productivity, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping
- Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse employees to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies
- Monitor workflow to ensure efficiency, productivity, and timely order fulfillment
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and audits
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety programs
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, or operational issues
- Coordinate with other departments (purchasing, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth operations
- Prepare and maintain reports on productivity, inventory, and staffing
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and standards
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes for efficiency, cost savings, and cleanliness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
- 3-5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and logistics
- Experience preferred with Warehouse Management Systems (JD Edwards)
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment (temperature variations, noise, etc.)
Work Environment
- Fast-paced warehouse setting
- May require overtime, weekends, or shift work depending on operational needs
