We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving, material flow, production support, and warehouse personnel while ensuring operational excellence and safety compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing warehouse operations that directly support manufacturing or production activities. This individual should be comfortable working closely with production, purchasing, planning, and quality teams to ensure materials are available when needed and customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all day‑to‑day warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, material handling, order fulfillment, shipping, and distribution
- Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse employees through training, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure timely movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support manufacturing schedules and customer requirements
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, and best‑practice inventory management processes
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities with carriers, third‑party logistics providers, UPS, FedEx, and other transportation partners
- Monitor warehouse performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance productivity, accuracy, and service levels
- Utilize ERP systems and warehouse management software to track materials, manage inventory transactions, and generate operational reports
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization
- Manage warehouse staffing, labor planning, equipment utilization, budgets, and transportation costs
- Oversee forklift operations, warehouse equipment maintenance, and facility organization
- Ensure compliance with company safety programs, OSHA regulations, and quality standards
- Partner closely with Production, Purchasing, Planning, Customer Service, and Leadership teams to support operational goals and customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of warehouse leadership experience in a manufacturing or production, environment
- Experience managing warehouse operations that support manufacturing processes, including raw materials, work‑in‑process (WIP), and finished goods inventory
- 10+ years of overall warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience preferred
- Strong understanding of inventory control, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material flow within a manufacturing setting
- Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management software (SAP experience a plus)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Warehousing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Proven ability to improve operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and warehouse performance
- Experience managing labor, staffing, budgets, and freight costs
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Forklift certification and hands‑on experience operating warehouse equipment preferred
