Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the warehouse department and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in transportation and logistics management with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse department across all operational disciplines to ensure operational excellence, high productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate warehouse activities and facility maintenance under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and Branch/Regional Management.
• Train warehouse personnel to ensure a well-coordinated shipping and receiving plan.
• Daily scheduling of warehouse personnel.
• Direct day-to-day activities of the warehouse including shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance programs and repairs.
• Ensure safe, efficient equipment usage and compliance with safety policies.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage performance of direct reports.
• Timely reporting and compliance with deadlines.
• Identify and present ideas to improve warehouse operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and discipline of direct reports
• Timely reporting and compliance with deadlines
• Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
• Perform other duties as needed/assigned
