- Coordinate and oversee assigned daily warehouse operational activities
- Oversee associates involved in warehousing, receiving, and shipping
- Mentor and train new and existing associates on distribution activities and Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist with forklift operation and certification
- Coordinate inbound unloading, product stacking, outbound picking, and staging
- Verify inbound and outbound paperwork and product counts
- Load orders according to appropriate doors and trailers
- Research shipping and receiving discrepancies
- Communicate professionally with customers by phone, electronically, or in person
- Prepare activity reports for site management
- Perform quality control checks, verify standards, and report damages or discrepancies
- Stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products
- Report inconsistencies and problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager
- Execute safety protocols and maintain warehouse cleanliness and security
- Direct warehouse work-team operations and assist with productivity and payroll records
- Participate in work scheduling and ensure jobs are assigned and completed properly
- Operate and maintain material-handling equipment safely
- Perform or assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks as assigned
- Work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 year of experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
- Ability to operate material-handling equipment (MHE)
- Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
- Basic computer skills
- RF scanner proficiency
- WMS functions knowledge
- English reading, writing, and verbal skills
- Basic to intermediate mathematics skills for verifying quantities, counting inventory, and handling products
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all organizational levels
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a stimulating, fast-paced environment
- Preferred: 2–4 years of warehouse/logistics/distribution experience
- Preferred: 2–4 years of proven forklift experience
- Preferred: current or prior MHE certification
- Must maintain an active forklift certification
