Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Warehouse Generalist for the Lomar Distribution Center to manage order selection, palletizing, and safe shipment of merchandise to retail locations. The role uses voice-automated selection and pick-to-light tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

You will operate pallet jacks and other equipment after certification, maintain safety standards, and support daily distribution operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to meet the language and hearing capabilities for voice automated selection.
• Must have the ability to follow one or two-step instructions; routine, repetitive task.
• Must be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division involving whole numbers.
• Upon certification, must safely operate both single and double pallet jacks, forklift, and stock picker.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines.
• Responsible for accurately and timely selecting orders via a voice automated selection system and safely palletizing merchandise for shipment to assigned stores, ensuring the product does not become damaged.
• Prepares orders including accurately selecting ordered items via pick-to-light selection system, as needed.
• Verifies pallet is stable and shrink-wraps pallet.
• Accurately applies pallet ID and stages selected order to be loaded in assigned area for delivery.
• Performs daily safety inspection of power equipment and ensures safety policies are followed.
• Keeps work environment clean and neat by sweeping and picking up cardboard, plastic wrap, and totes.
• Attends departmental and company meetings.
• Breaks down master cases and stages product.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
