Hy-Vee’s Lomar Distribution Center seeks a Warehouse Generalist, Heavy Lifting to pick and palletize merchandise for shipment to stores. You will use voice-automated selection and pick-to-light systems as needed, ensuring accurate orders and safe handling.

You must be able to operate pallet jacks and forklifts after certification, comply with safety protocols, and maintain a clean, organized work area in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet the language and hearing requirements for voice automated selection.
• Ability to follow simple to two-step instructions; perform routine, repetitive tasks.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and operate pallet jacks / forklifts after certification.

Responsabilités

• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Adheres to company policies and guidelines.
• Selects orders accurately via voice automated system and palletizes for shipment.
• Selects orders via pick-to-light system when needed.
• Verifies pallet stability and applies shrink wrap.
• Clerical tasks include labeling pallets and staging for loading.
• Operates equipment safely and follows safety rules.
• Keeps work area clean and participates in meetings.
