Job summary

Hy-Vee, d.b.a. Lomar Distribution Center, Iowa, is seeking a Warehouse Generalist, Heavy Lifting. The role focuses on accurate order selection, palletizing, and safe handling of merchandise for shipment to Hy-Vee stores.

You will work with voice automation and pick-to-light systems, verify pallet stability, apply shrink-wrap, and perform daily safety checks while keeping the workspace clean and organized. Pre-employment screening is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to follow one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract/multiply).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Select orders via voice-activated system and palletize for shipment.
• Verify pallet stability and apply shrink-wrap.
• Use pick-to-light system as needed and label pallets.
• Inspect equipment and maintain clean, safe work area.
