Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking a supervisor for a cross dock, warehouse, or transportation management operation. The role supervises 6-12 hourly associates, communicates daily work assignments, and ensures safety and process compliance.

The position includes interviewing hourly staff and recommending hires, with a focus on timely, damage-free product handling. Responsibilities cover process improvement, overtime management, and adherence to financial and safety guidelines, including SAP and MRP

Qualifications

• 3-5 years warehouse experience required.
• 2 years supervisory experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must possess good communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Must be able to use CRT, PC, scanners, calculators and related equipment.
• Working knowledge of MRP and JIT preferred.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily work assignments to all shift associates.
• Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire.
• Evaluate and recommend changes in work processes to improve customer satisfaction and meet deadlines.
• Manage overtime and productivity targets, while maintaining safety.
• Lead shift safety meetings and reinforce safety procedures.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by the manager.
