Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Groveport, OH is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead hourly associates and ensure daily tasks such as driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and cross-docking are executed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure execution of daily tasks like driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and cross docking.
• Supervise processes including workforce and equipment scheduling; correct actions up to written warnings.
• Support hiring, review truck runs, identify private fleet opportunities, and ensure compliance with financial and safety policies.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; training and coverage as needed.
• Ensure safety, documentation, and adherence to site operating methods; participate in continuous improvement efforts.
