Job summary

Optima Overnight is seeking a Warehouse Assistant Supervisor to support daily operations across day and night shifts. You will help ensure inbound packages are received and outbound processing stays on schedule while supervising staff and enforcing safety standards.

The role may rotate between day and night shifts and may require stepping in for the Warehouse Senior Supervisor as needed, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and staff development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse experience with leadership exposure.
• Experience supervising or coordinating daily operations preferred.
• Familiarity with safety compliance and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prioritizing sorting and routes across day/night shifts.
• Monitor inbound/outbound freight and resolve receiving/scanning issues.
• Enforce safety policies and proper use of sort equipment.
• Ensure forklift safety and staff certification maintenance.
• Support shift scheduling, labor planning and workflow efficiency.
• Provide training and coaching to warehouse staff.
• Generate shift reports and escalate critical issues.
• Serve as shift lead in absence of the Warehouse Senior Supervisor.
• Oversee trailer staging and communicate maintenance needs.
• Maintain day-to-day supervision and accountability.
