Position Summary
The Warehouse Assistant Supervisor supports the Warehouse Senior Supervisor in coordinating day-to-day warehouse operations across day and night shifts, helping ensure inbound packages are received and outbound packages are processed efficiently, safely, and on schedule. This role may be scheduled on either shift, including some rotation between the two, based on business needs. This role assists in supervising warehouse associates, monitors compliance with safety standards, and may lead shift operations in the Warehouse Senior Supervisor's absence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in prioritizing and completing sorting and routesorting operations across warehouse facilities, on both day and night shifts.
- Support linehaul operations by monitoring inbound and internal freight movement and helping resolve receiving and scanning issues.
- Help enforce company policies, safety regulations, and proper use and maintenance of sort machines.
- Monitor safe use of warehouse equipment, including forklift safety, in compliance with OSHA regulations, and help ensure staff certifications remain current.
- Assist with routine safety inspections and report any deficiencies to the Warehouse Senior Supervisor.
- Help coordinate trailer staging and communicate maintenance needs to the appropriate team.
- Support shift scheduling and labor planning to help maintain workflow efficiency and costeffectiveness.
- Provide daytoday guidance, training, and coaching to warehouse associates; help drive engagement and accountability.
- Assist in generating operational reports for assigned shifts and elevate critical issues to the Warehouse Senior Supervisor as needed.
- Serve as shift lead and assume the Warehouse Senior Supervisor's daytoday responsibilities in their absence.

Knowledge and Experience
- At least 2 years of warehouse experience; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated reliability and sound decisionmaking in a fastpaced operational setting.
- Forklift experience a plus
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment during day and/or nightshift hours, depending on scheduling needs; may involve exposure to variable temperatures, noise, and dust typical of a sort facility.
- Regular and reliable attendance during scheduled shift hours, which may include day shifts, night shifts, or rotation between the two, is required.
