Job summary

ReaderLink is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the night shift to plan, organize and monitor teams to meet production goals under the direction of the Operations Manager. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and hands-on control of shipping, receiving, storage and production workflows, with daily coordination across management. Bachelor’s degree and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum of 3 years warehouse experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules as required which may include working off shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct employee performance reviews and discipline.

• Ensures shipping, receiving, storage, distribution and production are performed in an efficient manner.
• Mikes employee decisions including interview, selection and retention of employees.
• Conduct employee training, career counseling, and development.
• continually review production requirements and assign employees to the correct work area.
• Ability to balance and achieve positive results in safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.
• Resolves employee issues through problem solving.
• Measures and maintains accuracy of inventory.
• Manages multiple problems.
• Coordinate daily workflow with other management personnel.
• Performs accident and near miss investigations.
• Conduct employee team meetings.
• All operations supervisors are expected to be available to work in all areas of the operation.
• Promotes accurate, timely communication up and down the organization to ensure priority issues are addressed.
• Sets an example to co-workers.
• Coordinate daily workflow with other warehouse personnel.
• Ensures the work areas are appropriately maintained and correct any unsafe conditions immediately.
