Job summary

Buffalo Rock is seeking a Warehouse Shift Lead for the Central Hub in Birmingham, AL to oversee the daily operations of the automated case picking system, ensure timely dispatch of orders, and coordinate resources for peak performance while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will train staff, enforce GMPs, manage loading, palletizing, and Vertique system tasks, monitor KPI, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily targets in a fast-paced, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of leadership experience in a distribution/warehouse environment.
• Experience with automated picking systems (Vertique) and warehouse operations.
• Forklift experience including sit-down and stand-up.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the automated case picking system and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
• Lead loading, palletizing, and manual stacking activities to maintain efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate resources and shift activities to meet daily targets.
• Train new and current EPs in SOPs and ensure SOP compliance.
• Monitor KPI and drive improvements in warehouse processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Inventory and Maintenance to resolve issues.
