Job summary

Buffalo Rock in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Inventory Clerk for the Central Hub (Sun-Thurs 11pm-7:30am) to monitor inventory, perform counts, and ensure accuracy in the Vertique System.

You will operate the warehouse management system, rotate stock by FEFO, use RF scanners, and reconcile discrepancies while supporting EOM/EOY cycles; strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year inventory experience using a warehouse management system (WMS).
• 1+ year forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and multitasking.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data entry and warehouse management systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized storage of inventory to facilitate moves and minimize damage.
• Move product with forklift to align physical and WMS inventories; rotate per FEFO.
• Identify and report damaged or defective items.
• Ensure storage complies with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct regular counts and weekly wall-to-wall counts using RF scanners.
• Reconcile physical counts with WMS discrepancies and adjust inventory.
• Assist supervisor to resolve data discrepancies including empty locations and wrong SKUs.
• Enter inventory data into the WMS accurately.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
• Attend End of Month (EOM) cycle counts and potentially weekend duty.
• Attend End of Year (EOY) inventory and holiday duties as required.
• Research and count zero picks and close/out of date products and adjust.
• Support management of closed-dated products to ensure timely shipments.
• Communicate effectively with team members and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Adhere to SOPs and GMPs, and participate in training.
