Job summary

Core-Mark International in Ypsilanti, MI is hiring for a Sanitation Associate responsible for janitorial tasks across warehouse spaces, including cooler and freezer areas. You will ensure cleanliness and safety, adhering to health policies and completing safety training.

The role requires 6+ months of sanitation/janitorial experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and passing a post-offer drug test and background check. Shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Competitive benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize warehouse areas including dry, cooler and freezer spaces.
• Follow all health and safety policies and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Perform general janitorial tasks: dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup.
• Use cleaning chemicals as directed and handle hazmat material sheets.
• Complete required safety training modules in a timely manner.

Position Details:

• Pay: $16/hr
• Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Position Purpose:

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
