Job summary

Performance Foodservice, a broadline distributor, is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to uphold health and safety standards in the warehouse. You will perform janitorial and sanitation tasks across dry, cooler, and freezer areas, ensuring a clean, safe work environment for all staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning duties, reporting hazards, and possibly operating pallet jacks. Post-offer drug tests and background checks are required; prior warehouse sanitation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 6+ months general sanitation and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Preferred: 1+ years general sanitation in warehouse environment; pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation tasks in warehouse including dry, cooler and freezer areas.
• Maintains a clean and safe workplace in accordance with health and safety policies.
• Reports unsafe conditions immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Completes assigned cleaning duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash pickup.
• May operate pallet jack to transport refuse to receptacles; may work with cleaning chemicals.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
