Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our supply chain operations in Portland. You may work in any of six roles, including Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator, Porter, Replenishment, Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Returns, and Shipping.

Safe operation of equipment and adherence to procedures are required. You must have a minimum of 3 months warehouse experience, pass a drug screen where permitted, and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permitted.
• Basic English language skills (speaking and writing).
• If hired full-time, ability to work overtime beyond scheduled shift as needed.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
• Ability to lift/push/pull boxes weighing 70–100 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety composite footwear.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, cherry pickers and pallet jacks to pick and move product up to 100 lbs.
• Work across multiple warehouse areas (Bulk/Material Handling, Porter, Replenishment, Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Returns, Shipping).
• Maintain safety procedures and safe work practices at all times.
• Unload trucks, palletize products, and move items within the warehouse.
• Assist with order organization, stacking, shrinking and loading onto trucks.
• Be adaptable to role changes within SC1/SC2 assignments as needed.
