Job summary

Farwest Steel Corporation is seeking a Production Assistant for our onsite warehouse operations in Idaho. You will process orders, assist in the warehouse, and follow safety policies.

This full-time position offers day and swing shifts (7:00am–3:30pm and 3:00pm–11:30am) with wages from $18.50 to $21.50 per hour and a $1.25 shift differential for the swing shift. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401K with match, paid time off, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; training provided.
• Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts and process parts per work order using grinders and hand tools.
• Stack parts on pallets or in bundles and label with work-order information.
• Remove small cut parts from burning tables as needed.
• Identify quality issues and present them for supervisor review.
• Load and unload vehicles including inbound deliveries and customer will calls.
• Sort and prepare parts for the processing area.
• Occasional forklift and crane operation as needed.
