Job summary

Farwest Steel Corporation is seeking entry-level Production Assistant/Warehouse Operations for day and swing shifts, onsite in Idaho. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with a wage of $18.50–$21.50 per hour depending on experience. Swing shift includes a $1.25 per hour differential.

Wages reviewed every six months as part of wage progression. Responsibilities include identifying and processing parts per order, stacking on pallets, labeling for delivery, handling small parts, and occasional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent optional.
• Prior warehouse experience is a plus; training provided.
• Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to make mathematical calculations and read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts per order, process parts, and clean up per work order.
• Stack parts on pallets and label for delivery or storage.
• Remove small cut parts from burning tables by hand.
• Identify quality issues and escalate to supervisor for review.
• Load and unload inbound deliveries and will-calls.
• Sort and prepare parts for processing area.
• Occasional forklift and crane operation as needed.

About This Position

Entry Level

Job Type: Full Time, Onsite

Schedule: Monday - Friday

• Day, 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Swing, 3:00pm to 11:30am

Wage: $18.50 - $21.50, depending on experience. Swing shift has a $1.25 shift differential.

Wage reviews/adjustments every 6 months for entry level wages.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify parts associated with a specific order, process parts, and clean up per instructions on the work order using grinders and hand tools.
• Stack parts on pallets or in bundles and mark with pertinent information from the work order for delivery or storage.
• Remove small cut parts from the burning tables by hand when needed.
• Identify all questionable quality issues and present them for review by the supervisor to ensure that customer expectations are met on every order.
• Load and unload vehicles including inbound deliveries and customer will calls.
• Sort and prepare parts for the processing area.
• Occasional forklift and crane operation as needed.
