Job summary

Farwest is hiring a Production Assistant for its Warehouse Operations in Oregon. The role involves processing orders, assisting in warehouse tasks, and maintaining safety policies. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour with swing and graveyard differentials based on shift.

This position requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to read a tape measure. Schedule is Monday to Friday on site, with two possible shifts: swing 3:30pm–12:00am or graveyard

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent optional.
• Prior Warehouse Experience is a plus
• Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to make mathematical calculations and read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts associated with a specific order, process parts, and clean up per instructions on the work order using grinders and hand tools.
• Stack parts on pallets or in bundles and mark with pertinent information from the work order for delivery or storage.
• Remove small cut parts from the burning tables by hand when needed.
• Identify all questionable quality issues and present them for review by the supervisor to ensure that customer expectations are met on every order.
• Load and unload vehicles including inbound deliveries and customer will calls.
• Sort and prepare parts for the processing area.
• Occasional forklift and crane operation as needed.
