Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Warehouse Selector to join our distribution team. You will pick and move product between the loading dock and warehouse, using pallet jacks and forklifts as needed, with a focus on accuracy and safety. Starting pay is $20/hour during training, with after-training pay ranging from $25 to $35 per hour.

The schedule is Sun-Thu, 6pm until completion. We offer Day 1 health benefits, 401(k) matching, PTO, and growth opportunities within our food distribution

Qualifications

• Must be able to work scheduled shifts, including required overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Able to lift 10-35 lbs regularly and up to 60-100 lbs depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Ability to become EPJ certified within the new-hire training period.
• Ability to complete required training independently.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work schedule, obtains supplies, and prepares for operations.
• Performs safety checks on pallet jack/forklift and ensures safety devices function.
• Puts on required PPE and safety gear.
• Places pallets on pallet jack and operates within multi-level racks to locate products.
• Transports completed palletized orders to shipping dock staging area.
• Removes batteries for recharging and completes vehicle inspection checklist.
• Secures equipment at shift end and completes necessary paperwork.
• Meets productivity and accuracy standards per location and guidelines.
• Follows safety policies and reports unsafe conditions immediately.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
