Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking a warehouse leader to plan daily shipping and receiving, assign tasks, and drive productivity and safety across the operation.

The role focuses on staffing, development, and maintaining metrics to improve efficiency. You will lead teams, partner with union representatives where applicable, and ensure adherence to policies while fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership and/or warehouse management experience.
• Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Conflict resolution and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Interview, train, develop and maintain staffing levels to meet daily goals.
• Identify high potential team members and support leadership development.
• Foster positive relationships with team members and union reps to improve retention.
• Promote a positive, inclusive work environment and support differences.
• Adhere to Meijer policies and practices.
• Establish and maintain DC scorecard metrics for productivity and efficiency; use data to drive improvements.
• Train and coach teams to meet performance, quality, cost and service goals; operate material handling equipment safely.
• Address team member concerns and conduct investigations with HR guidance.
• Monitor performance metrics and provide coaching or disciplinary actions as needed.
• Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and recommend improvements.
• Handle administrative duties related to production, shipping and quality.
