About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Warehouse Operator. The position will manage receiving, handling, sorting, scanning and dispatching goods within a store or warehouse.
This opportunity is rotating roster based 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday and to meet our customers’ requirements, some overtime, weekend and on call may be required.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Organising and completing the day to day workflow - receiving, scanning, sorting and placing inventory.
· Unloading and loading of containers/vehicles with goods – inbound and outbound.
· Answering customer queries regarding stock location and shipping progress.
· Operating computer system to obtain details of stock quantity and location.
· Operating machinery such as a forklift to lift, place and remove items.
· Assisting with regular stock takes and maintaining a safe worksite.
· Working in accordance with strict Workplace Health & Safety guidelines.
· Packing and physical movement of goods.
· Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
· At least 2 years of experience working in a warehousing/distribution/logistics environment.
· Working level understanding of inventory systems.
· Time management skills and an ability to multi-task and prioritise.
· Excellent verbal / written communication skills.
· Physical capabilities to lift & move heavy boxes.
· Fork lift license to include HR (high reach), DD (double deep) & CB (counter balance).
