Job summary

HRforGrowth, on behalf of a client in Indiana, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the production floor under the Operations Manager. You will drive daily activities, set labor plans, and ensure safe, efficient operations to meet service commitments.

The role emphasizes team leadership, coaching, adherence to procedures, and continuous improvement across receiving, shipping, inventory, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years warehouse experience, including receiving, shipping, fulfillment, and inventory control.
• Leadership experience preferred, including coaching and development of employees.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team; able to lead a group.
• Experience with standard warehousing procedures and policies.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to set priorities, make decisions, and organize the workspace.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate production methods and labor levels to meet service deliverables.
• Supervise all operations personnel for productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Plan daily activities with the operations manager and support teams.
• Ensure employees understand duties before each shift.
• Review production schedule and work orders to prioritize the workforce.
• Ensure lines are properly set up at shift start for efficient labor use.
• Supervise shift employees to maintain safety and performance standards.
• Interview, hire, and train new employees for the shift.
• Support and maintain all quality standards and company policies.
• Provide a safe working environment in line with OSHA regulations.
