Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Supervisor - Operations to oversee one or more warehouse departments including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting and light assembly. You will lead a team with at least two direct reports, train staff, enforce safety rules, and drive process improvements.

You will report to a Manager or Senior Manager Operations and collaborate to meet customer requirements while maintaining accurate records and performance metrics in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience.
• 1 year experience leading warehouse associates.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee work assignments to meet inbound/outbound service requirements.
• Direct achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service and safety.
• Monitor workflow, errors and metrics; take corrective action as needed.
• Ensure procedures are observed, implemented, and enforced.
• Confirm quality and inspection processes; reduce excess costs.
• Maintain safe working environment and comply with safety regulations.
• Keep time, attendance and performance records up to date.
• Foster positive employee relations and morale.
• Support development of warehouse processes and standards.
• Set and monitor performance standards for pick, pack and ship.
• Process returned merchandise efficiently.
• Develop training certification programs for warehouse staff.
