Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Supervisor - Operations in Virginia to oversee multiple warehouse functions including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and related activities. The role requires coaching associates, maintaining performance records, and ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

You will drive productivity, quality, and service, monitor workflow and metrics, and help develop warehouse processes and training programs.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required.
• Fork Lift Certification preferred.
• 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience.
• 1 year experience leading warehouse associates.
• Ability to operate a forklift or obtain certification.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee work assignments to meet inbound and outbound service requirements.
• Direct achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service, and safety.
• Monitor workflow, track metrics, and take corrective action.
• Ensure procedures are observed, implemented, and enforced.
• Confirm quality and inspection processes; eliminate excess costs.
• Maintain safe working environment and follow safety regulations.
• Maintain time, attendance, and performance records.
• Maintain positive employee relations and morale.
• Develop and document warehouse processes and performance standards.
• Establish and monitor standards for pick, pack, ship, and equipment.
• Process returned merchandise and support training programs.
