Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Manager – Operations to lead a diverse team including Operations Associates, Drivers and Administrative Coordinators in a warehouse setting. You will drive on-time order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and KPI monitoring while collaborating with Sales and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

You will mentor staff, manage safety, budget, LEAN initiatives, and ensure compliance with ISO 9000.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ operations experience in distribution center facilities preferred.
• Experience managing a group or team of individual contributors or indirectly supervising staff.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively in group and one-on-one settings.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency.
• Ability to travel 0–25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of the location to include on-time order fulfillment and shipping, on-time receiving, manage working capital, inventory and quality management systems.
• Oversees a location that could include multiple warehouse systems and/or value-added services.
• Maintains a safe, secure and inclusive workplace.
• Manages, coaches, mentors, hires and trains employees, including performance management.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and audit standards (e.g. internal controls, ISO 9000).
• Manages expense-based P&L to plan.
• Drives efficiencies within the facility using LEAN methodologies.
• Maintains facility tour-ready standards.
• Ensures preventative maintenance of the facility and equipment.
• Matches facility capacities to customer/sales expectations and align with market strategy.
• Collaborates with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources and Finance.
• Develops annual budgets for the facility.
