Job summary

Wesco seeks an Associate Manager - Operations to lead a customer-centered warehouse team in Chesapeake. You will guide 2+ direct reports, coordinate with Sales and other departments, and monitor KPIs to maintain service quality. The role requires strong communication and hands-on supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Travel up to 25% may be required and a forklift certification is preferred. This on-site position focuses on cost control and process improvements within warehouse operations.

Qualifications

Experience in warehouse and distribution operations, with leadership exposure.
Forklift certification preferred; ability to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

Manages warehouse staff in training, coaching, and counseling.
Oversees a location with multiple systems and services.
Partners with cross-functional teams on feasibility and costs.
Ensures on-time operational activities and informs Sales/Ops.
Coordinates with stakeholders for project deliveries.
Reviews/ improves existing processes and budget adherence.
Monitors service providers and payments with AP.
Ensures Health, Safety and Environment compliance.
Meets delivery requirements and regulatory needs.
