Job summary

Quality Stainless Inc. in Minneapolis is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control for stainless steel products.

You will manage forklift operations, ensure accuracy, and uphold safety and OSHA standards across the facility. The role requires a detail-oriented, safety-focused candidate capable of handling heavy industrial materials, with at least 2+ years in warehouse roles and proficiency in WMS/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or distribution experience.
• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Proficient in WMS, ERP platforms, inventory control software, and Microsoft Office; able to process transactions and generate reports.
• Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Shipping: pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment; verify quantities and requirements; load trucks using forklifts; prepare documents; coordinate with carriers for on-time deliveries; inspect shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Receiving: unload shipments; verify against POs and packing lists; inspect for quality and discrepancies; record receipts in ERP; communicate discrepancies to management.
• Warehousing & Material Handling: organize and store materials; move products safely using forklifts and pallet jacks; follow FIFO; assist with layout improvements; participate in daily housekeeping and safety inspections.
• Inventory Control: perform cycle counts and physical counts; investigate discrepancies; ensure accurate transactions and location tracking; support labeling and audits.
• Forklift Operation: safely operate forklifts; transport long-length materials; perform pre-shift inspections; follow OSHA and safety procedures; maintain certification.
• Equipment Maintenance & Facility Support: daily inspections of equipment; pre-shift checklists; preventive maintenance; coordinate repairs; maintain service records; support storage systems and facility upkeep.
• Safety & Compliance: follow safety policies and PPE; participate in safety meetings; report unsafe conditions; ensure OSHA compliance; support continuous improvement for safety and efficiency.
