Job summary

Capstone Logistics is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Puyallup, WA to lead daily operations at our distribution center. The role requires 2–5 years of progressive supervisory experience in distribution/transportation, and offers a competitive salary with bonus potential.

You will oversee safety, budget, staff scheduling, hiring and training, and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining policy compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in an industrial setting.
• Proven experience delivering high levels of customer service.
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Budget management and ability to read P&L statements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• College degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate rates with common carrier representatives.
• Run site with safety and efficiency as priorities.
• Balance daily bank deposits.
• Create and transmit daily work logs to corporate.
• Audit daily labor and billing reports.
• Ensure customer needs are met daily.
• Document and resolve customer or associate issues.
• Enforce Capstone policies and safety rules.
• Hold weekly safety meetings and ensure participation.
• Assist in managing Site and Departmental budgets.
• Schedule shifts based on customer requirements.
• Interview, hire, and train new associates.
• Supervise data entry for services performed.
• Complete daily closeout with cash balancing, data upload, payroll records.
