Job summary

FlexSteel is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead all warehouse and distribution activities at our Baytown facility, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and finished goods.

You will partner with Supply Chain, Planning, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service to optimize material flow and warehouse performance. A Bachelor's in Supply Chain or equivalent and 10–15 years of manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience.
10–15 years of experience in supply chain roles at a manufacturer.
Experience in warehouse slotting and pick/pack/ship operations.
Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software.
Understanding of supply chain principles and logistics.
Leadership skills to manage a team of warehouse personnel.
Design and implementation of organization structure for a manufacturing plant preferred.
This position may require background checks and safety certifications.

Responsibilities

Direct and oversee all warehouse functions: receiving, storage, handling, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space, equipment, and personnel.
Establish and maintain warehouse processes, procedures, and operating standards.
Drive operational excellence via continuous improvement and lean practices.
Monitor productivity and develop action plans to improve efficiency.
Maintain safety by following company policies and safe work practices.
Other duties as assigned.
