Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to lead warehouse operations across networks in the United States, driving efficiency and profitability. You will develop and implement strategic processes, coach managers, and ensure safety and quality while delivering exceptional service for customers.

Responsibilities include optimizing receiving, storage, and shipping, managing P&L, and leveraging WMS and technology to monitor metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management required.
• P&L management preferred.
• Project management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching and support.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; oversee safety, cleanliness and efficiency.
• Utilize WMS, automation and technology to track inventory and monitor metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and cost-effective services per the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels and key metrics.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site's P&L aligned to customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review to customers.
