Job summary

Electrical Equipment Company in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead a team of 11 and drive efficient warehouse operations. This salaried role reports to the Regional Warehouse Manager and focuses on performance, budgeting, quality control, and strategic direction for the team.

You will oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, deliveries, and returns while coordinating with sales, purchasing, and branches to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in warehouse management or similar operational role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to mentor, coach and develop team.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and autonomy.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems, ERP, and MS Office Suite.
• Proven budgeting and financial experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Inventory control experience preferred.
• Experience with root cause and corrective action development.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a culture of accountability and conflict resolution.
• Strong planning skills with labor and order flow to meet customer needs.
• Travel approximately 10% to assist with new projects and training at other locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping and returns to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Manage delivery routes, drivers, and the fleet, including route planning and DOT compliance where applicable.
• Own next-business-day delivery and order accuracy and resolve customer service issues promptly.
• Partner with sales, purchasing and other branches to align warehouse capacity with customer needs.
• Maintain facility, equipment, and building security, and uphold housekeeping standards.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through the cycle counting program to meet company targets.
