Job summary

The Suddath Companies is recruiting a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead freight movement, staffing, and program development in a busy onsite environment. You will drive performance, coach a high-performing team, and partner with customers to deliver exceptional service across warehousing and transportation functions.

Responsibilities include budget management, KPI implementation, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet service and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Broad management skills with emphasis on leadership, problem-solving and planning.
• Ability to interface across supply chain partners and senior executives.
• Experience deploying resources to achieve objectives with KPI focus.
• Strong vendor relationship and cost-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of freight movement into and out of warehouses.
• Train and supervise staff toward departmental and company objectives.
• Develop warehousing programs meeting cost and service goals.
• Ensure timely processing of freight claims and collections.
• Forecast costs, equipment, and service levels; recommend corrective actions.
• Establish KPIs for on-time delivery, shipping costs, inventory, and productivity.
• Lead problem resolution for transportation and warehousing issues.
• Maintain budgets and provide senior management with reports.
• Build customer relationships and drive service improvements.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
