Job summary

POOLCORP, the world's leading distributor of outdoor living products, Naples, FL, is seeking an Operations Manager to direct and coordinate activities involved with procuring products for sales and distribution.

You will hire, train and manage warehouse staff, review orders, manage inventory, coordinate with buyers, and support sales objectives. Bachelor's degree preferred and 3–5 years of operations experience required; 5+ staff management and MS Office skills beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of operations experience in industrial distribution or warehouse environment.
• Experience managing a team of 5+ employees.
• Computer skills including MS Office and Inventory Management software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of industrial product lines such as pool and spa equipment, chemicals, construction materials, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, HVAC supplies, auto parts, irrigation supplies, or similar industrial tangible goods.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities involved with procuring products for sales and distribution.
• Hire, train, direct and manage warehouse staff.
• Review open sales orders, purchase orders, vendor claims, and transfers.
• Review warehouse procedures and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Consult with regional buyers to obtain price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Manage inventory and control stockouts.
• Perform cycle counts to prevent inventory shrink.
• Manage freight expenses and approve invoices.
