Job summary

POOLCORP, the world’s leading distributor of outdoor living products, is seeking an Operations Manager for Naples, FL. You will direct procurement, warehouse activities and staff, review orders and inventory, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with 3–5 years in wholesale operations, experience leading 5+ staff, and strong MS Office and inventory system knowledge. Excellent communication and a collaborative mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of operations experience in industrial distribution or warehouse environment.
• Operations responsibility for a $5–10 million wholesale facility.
• Experience managing a team of 5+ employees.
• Computer skills including MS Office and Inventory Management software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of industrial product lines (pool/spa, construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, irrigation, auto parts) helpful.
• Must be 18 or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities involved with procuring products for sales and distribution.
• Hire, train, direct and manage warehouse staff.
• Review open orders, purchase orders, vendor claims and transfers.
• Review warehouse procedures and ensure safety compliance.
• Consult with buyers/vendors on price, availability and delivery schedules.
• Manage inventory, control stock outs and reduce excess stock.
• Perform cycle counts to prevent shrink.
• Approve freight invoices and manage freight expenses.
• Supervise routing, loading and preparation of orders for shipment.
• Train new employees on warehouse and distribution procedures.
