Job summary

UNIS is seeking an Operations Supervisor to translate customer commitments into safe, efficient warehouse execution. Based in Roanoke, TX, the role oversees receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure throughput, quality, and on-time performance.

The position emphasizes frontline leadership, coaching, attendance management, and continuous improvement to build a reliable, engaged team that meets service levels while protecting margins.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and apply written policies, work instructions, and safety guidelines in a warehouse environment.
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, including at least 1–2 years in a lead, team lead, or supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated experience managing a front-line hourly workforce, including scheduling, attendance management, performance feedback, and basic disciplinary processes.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, safety, and service levels.
• Working knowledge of standard warehouse processes (receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping), and WMS exp.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations across receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Monitor and analyze shift-level performance metrics (e.g., productivity, accuracy, throughput, labor utilization, safety indicators)
• Provide hands-on people leadership by setting performance expectations, coaching and developing associates, managing attendance and conduct, and executing corrective actions when necessary
• Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings to communicate priorities, staffing plans, safety topics, and performance feedback.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and process improvement opportunities, collaborate with operations and site leadership to test and implement changes.
